- Synopsis: In "Frank O’Leary in the Twilight Lounge: A Marvelous Mystery," gritty P.I.

Frank O’Leary is drawn into a dark conspiracy within the collegiate culinary program led

by the enigmatic Chef Luka. Uncovering a clandestine fine dining establishment thriving

on stolen ingredients and financial exploitation, Frank navigates a treacherous world

where ambition collides with deception. As he peels back layers of the Twilight Lounge,

he discovers a web of lies, unexpected alliances, and personal dilemmas. The narrative

unfolds with suspense, exploring the price of ambition in a classic noir setting with a

collegiate twist.


- Two existing film comparatives based on storyline: L.A. Confidential meets Se7en


- Log Line: A criminal justice major views his life as a dramatic neo-noir where he must

solve a mystery within the walls of his own college.


- Genre: Noir/Crime.

watch a noir film, and look over and check production schedule/calendar.

FILM FESTIVALS


- Austin Spotlight Film Festival: Our film best fits the requirements for this festival, it is

under $100. It screens in Austin TX on October 24-31 2024.


- Central Wisconsin Film Festival - This festival is student specific and falls under $100. It

screens in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, September 30-October 3 2024.


- The Crime List: This is a festival hosted in US who recognizes screenplays up to 25

pages and is exclusive to crime stories. The prize is a cash prize of $3500 and the entry

fee is $75 and it goes on May 31.


- Los Angeles Crime and Horror Film Festival: This festival has a category specifically for

film noir short films which would fit best with our genre. It also is within our deadline and

has a low entry film at $60. It screens in LA, May 2 - May 3.

- Hellbender Student Film Festival: this festival is in St. Charles, MO and has a low entry

fee of $5. It screens on a screen in St. Charles at Lindenwood University from dates


November 19 - 21.
